A Thin Place: Where birds and peace meet

An albino peacock roosting on our neighbor’s chicken coop. Three hummingbirds drinking out of our feeder. Moma owl chose another tree to nest in this year, saw her only once this summer. I was out on the deck about 3:00 am, all these birds were waiting until the first light. I was yearning to feel pain diminishing, should I take prescription pills?

My prescription became to breathe in the fresh air and silence my soul.
